Classic Alonso Renault to be auctioned

The Renault R24 chassis driven by Fernando Alonso at the end of the 2004 season will be going under the hammer on Wednesday.
High-end auctioneers RM Sotheby’s will be selling the R24-07, driven byAlonso在最后的三个种族f 2004, and their initial prediction is it will sell for between £300,000 and £385,000 when bids are accepted in Paris on February 2.
The car features Alonso’s own steering wheel tailored to his specifications and is finished in its full racing livery featured when the Spaniard took to the track in China, Japan and Brazil.
Fans of Formula 1’s three-litre V10 engine era were thrilled in Abu Dhabi in 2020 as Alonso did demo runs driving his title-winning R25 and, while its predecessor had a solitary win to its name through Jarno Trulli in Monaco, that chassis formed the basis for Alonso to charge to his first World Championship in 2005.

The R24 is just one of dozens of lots available for wealthy buyers in Wednesday’s auction, with other classic sports and racing cars also set to go under the hammer.
A plethora of classicFerrarimodels will be on sale, such as the Dino 308 GT4 from 1975 and a 250 GT Series II Cabriolet dating back to 1959.
A 1996 Ferrari F310 Formula 1 show car is also among the lots to be sold, which is expected to sell for between £50,000 and £85,000.
Some lots are expected to attract six-figure sums, however, with an Aston Martin DB4 Convertible available for an estimated sale price to exceed £1million, while a rare Ferrari F50 is listed as the most expensive of the items available with a predicted price tag of between £2.5million and £2.75million.
Alonso’s Renault is not the only car driven by a World Champion that has been made available of late, withKimi Raikkonen selling his one-off personalised FerrariF12 embossed with his own racing number and logo, which was put on the market for the low, low price of around £2million. Bargain!
