Kvyat to Ferrari? You never know…

Having taken a role as a Ferrari development driver in 2018,Daniil Kvyatsays he’s not ruling out rejoining the Scuderia as a race driver should they have an opening.

Ferrari junior Antonio Giovinazzi would also like the seat, as too would former Ferrari employee Kvyat.

The Russian driver spent the 2018 season asFerrari’sdevelopment driver after he was dropped from the Red Bull programme.

Recalled in 2019, he rejoined Toro Rosso and will remain with the team, now known as AlphaTauri, for this season.

However, Kyvat isn’t ruling out returning to Maranello in the future.

“Do I think of going to Ferrari in 2021? The important thing is to do well where you are, then in the future you never know,”Gazzetta dello Sportreports him as having told Sky.

“In our sport there are many possibilities if one does well.

“We’ll see.”

The 25-year-old, who last year bagged a podium at the German GP – only the second in the team’s history, is dreaming of winning F1 grands prix and fighting for World titles.

“I keep myself motivated because I want more and more,” he said.

“I am a competitive athlete and every time I start the season I want always do better.

“I aim to win, I am in F1 for this and I will continue to push to achieve this goal.”
