Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc holds his hat as he sets off on the drivers' parade at Spa-Francorchamps.

Reports over Charles Leclerc and his net worth vary wildly, with the two figures most widely circulated online being $12m and $125m – though the most likely figure comes somewhere in between.

The Monégasque driver signed the longest contract extension Ferrari had ever handed out following an impressive first season with the team in 2019, with a hefty pay rise to come with it that puts him among Formula 1’s highest earners, reportedly around $12m in basic earnings per season until the end of 2024.

With that and a solid bank of personal sponsors, Leclerc is one of the sport’s highest wage earners, and more than likely has a net worth to match.

Charles Leclerc salary: How much does he earn at Ferrari?

Prominent business magazineForbeslisted Leclerc as the fifth-highest earning Formula 1 driver on the grid in the 2022 season, with a $12m salary combining with $11m in bonuses to earn him a reported $23m pre-tax salary for that year.

As a Monaco native, he still calls the Principality home, and will pay no federal income tax on that, though is likely to pay other taxes in other areas.

Leclerc has also built up an impressive car collectionover time, with several Ferrari models appearing within it, including a custom 488 Pista Spider that has a bespoke colour scheme that includes the Monégasque flag and a ’16’ decal, denoting Leclerc’s Formula 1 race number.

How does Charles Leclerc’s net worth compare to Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton?

虽然预测勒克莱尔的官方净值vary so wildly, if the top estimate as reported by several websites of $125m [£98m] is correct, that would put him above Red Bull driver Verstappen as of the end of 2022, whose reported net worth of £72.9m comes under that valuation.

But that is still a long way short of Lewis Hamilton, whose reported net worth sat at over £270m as of the end of 2022.

Verstappen’s net worth is likely to climb significantly in the coming seasons though, with Forbes ranking the Red Bull driver as the highest-earning F1 driver in 2022, commanding a $40m basic salary and $20m in bonuses alone, having agreed an enormous seven-year contract extension with Red Bull after winning his first World Championship.
