Stroll joins Alonso at Daytona 24 Hours

Williams' Lance Stroll has become the latest Formula 1 driver to join the field for the Daytona 24 Hours in January.

The Canadian rookie, who took part in last year's race with a fifth-place finish driving alongside Toro Rosso's Brendon Hartley, as well as Andy Priaulx and Alex Wurz, has been named as part of the Jackie Chan DC Racing squad.

He will drive the Oreca 07 LMP2 car with Felix Rosenqvist, Robin Frijns and Daniel Juncadella, the former being Stroll's team-mate at Prema back in his European Formula 3 Championship days.

The news comes just a couple of days after Alonso stepped up his preparations for the race next year by testing out the United Autosports Ligier JS P217.
