‘Another productive day’ for Kubica

Robert Kubica was back in action with Williams on Tuesday, completing “another productive day” of testing.

Following on from his first outing in a FW36 last week at Silverstone, Kubica was again behind the wheel of the 2014 F1 car, this time at the Hungaroring.

Williams have not released any details of the test other than to say that it was “another productive day”.

Kubica is hoping that these tests will lead to a return to the Formula 1 come 2018.

Williams are evaluating the former race winner and Paul di Resta with an eye to replacing Felipe Massa at the end of this year’s championship.

Should Kubica return to the F1 grid, it will be the culmination of years of hard work following his horrific rally crash in 2011 that left him with severe arm injuries.
