As far as Formula 1 selfies go, combining three of the best to do it and their 11 World Championships into one is about as epic as it gets, thank you Lewis Hamilton!
The Canadian Grand Prix was a further story of Red Bull victory as Max Verstappen claimed his sixth win of the season, also Red Bull’s 100th in Formula 1, maintaining their 100 per cent winning record so far in F1 2023.
And that Verstappen win, his 41st, equalled the tally of the legendary three-time World Champion Ayrton Senna for good measure.
It was not the level of dominance which Verstappen has grown accustomed to this season though, with Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso crossing the line nine seconds behind in P2, while Hamilton in the Mercedes was a further four-and-a-half seconds back as he completed the podium.
And it was certainly a star-studded one, with seven-time champ Hamilton and two-time champs Alonso and Verstappen uniting to create an iconic collection of F1 success across eras, and Hamilton made sure to capture the moment.

As the trio settled into the post-race press conference, Hamilton took his phone out to mark the occasion with a selfie featuring all three drivers, posting it on his Instagram account following the race weekend as the second picture in this particular collection.
Verstappen’s fourth win on the bounce saw him extend hisDrivers’ Championshiplead to 69 points over Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez, though the Canadian GP was an extremely positive outing also for both Aston Martin and Mercedes.
After Mercedes seemingly took a clear step forward last time out in Spain with their new-look W14, the pressure was on for them to prove it was not just a one-off, while Aston Martin faced the task of demonstrating with their Canada upgrade package that they could hang with the likes of Mercedes in the F1 2023 development war.
Both were successful in their respective missions, making further gains on Red Bull in the bid to deny the Austrian outfit the chance to complete an unbeaten season, something never seen before in Formula 1.
