Follow F1 live with PlanetF1.com throughout the Italian Grand Prix weekend as Max Verstappen chases a record-breaking 10th win on the trot.

Arriving at Ferrari’s home race on the back of a nine-race winning streak, Verstappen is the favourite to win the Italian Grand Prix, which would set a new record for the most consecutive wins by a Formula 1 driver.

However, he’ll have to overcome the Italian Grand Prix curse as no driver since Lewis Hamilton in 2018 has defended his Italian Grand Prix win.

In fact, none of the winners since Hamilton – Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, and Daniel Ricciardo – even saw the chequered flag the following season.

Should Red Bull secure the win on Sunday, it could continue the team’s dominant run with 14 wins from 14 races and extend their record to 15 in a row.

But while Red Bull winning seems a formality more than a competition given the RB19’s superiority, behind Red Bull there’s a thrilling tussle on the track to be best of the rest and it has swung between Aston Martin, Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren.

Who’ll come out on top, and by that we mean second to Verstappen, is anyone’s guess.
