费尔南多-阿隆索将达到难以置信的职业生涯milestone at Italian Grand Prix

Fernando Alonso is on his way to reaching another milestone this weekend, and if he makes it to the penultimate lap at Monza, he could set another new record in the realm of F1 stats.

Alonso currently sits on a career tally of 19,949 racing laps in his long and esteemed Formula 1 career, putting him 51 shy of the remarkable landmark of 20,000.

With 53 laps to come at Monza this weekend, if the two-time World Champion makes it to the chequered flag he will have ticked off yet another statistic in what has been a remarkable career to date.

Part of that will come from the fact that he has started more races than any other driver in Formula 1 history, but as we all know, an integral part of that job is getting to the end of them too.

He’s also in the top five of all-time points scorers, despite the first eight years of his career having used the old, less rewarding points system in Formula 1, and should he break his winning duck, he would become the oldest driver to win a race since Nigel Mansell took top spot at the 1994 Austrian Grand Prix.

Lewis Hamilton is the only current driver to come close to Alonso regarding overall racing lap count, and the Mercedes driver has Kimi Raikkonen in his sights as he looks set to take second place from the Finn in the coming races.

Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo also make the top 10 of all-time racing laps in F1, with the current drivers enjoying many more opportunities to race than those who began in the sport in the early days.
