Ricciardo: No ‘regret’ over start in Brazil

Daniel Ricciardo has said he had no "regrets" about the start he made at Interlagos after getting caught up in the first lap chaos.

Ricciardo was left on a similar recovery mission to Lewis Hamilton, coming from the back of the field to finish P6.

"It was bunched up in Turn Two so I went on the outside which is always a risk but the start is the best opportunity to make up some places," Ricciardo said in the paddock. "I don't regret trying it.

"Fortunately we didn't have damage so we were able to come through the field, not as quickly as Lewis but relatively for our pace. I'm pretty happy."

Ricciardo had retired in the previous two races prior to Brazil and has a 14-point gap to Kimi Raikkonen as he tries to secure fourth place in the World Drivers' Championship.
