F1 Quiz: Martin Brundle’s 9 podium finishes

Johnnie Victoria

For this F1 quiz, we honour one of Formula 1’s most recognisable faces, Martin Brundle, as we ask you to name where he achieved his 9 podium finishes.

Martin Brundle may best be remembered as the guy who does the grid walks, but he is so much more than that.

In the 90s, he was driving for some of the top teams alongside drivers who would end up going to etch their name into the Formula 1 history books.

While he never reached the mega heights of even a race victory, Brundle was still a mighty fine driver himself. A winner of the 1990 24 hours of Le Mans, the 1988 24 hours of Daytona and the 1988 World Sportscar Championship.

He also finished second in the 1983 British Formula Three season, after enduring a season-long battle with future Formula 1 legend, Ayrton Senna.

While he doesn’t hold the longest list of achievements in Formula 1, Martin certainly knew how to drive a car fast.

Brundle competed in 165 Grands Prix, with 158 starts. He raced for teams such as McLaren, Benetton, Williams, Brabham, Tyrell and more, and partnered alongside F1 greats like Michael Schumacher, Mika Hakkinen, and Rubens Barrichello.

He ended with nine podium finishes in his career – two second places and seven third places. Say what you want about him falling short of a race win. Getting into and racing a Formula 1 car is commendable enough, let alone a podium finish.

Martin Brundle deserves a lot more recognition for his career other than his grid walks, so as a sentimental honour on our behalf, we have created this F1 quiz inspired by his nine podiums.

You must name the nine races he got on the podium in his career. We are looking for the country name this time, not the Grand Prix.
