Zak Brown has challenged Toto Wolff to a boxing match in the build-up to Formula 1’s inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, the McLaren CEO also up for a race against Christian Horner.

Never let it be said there’s any loved lost between Wolff and Horner but it seems Brown’s keen to get involved in that fight and throw a few punches of his own – literally.

Later this year Formula 1 will race in Las Vegas for the first time, the city known for hosting some of the world’s biggest boxing fights…and Brown would like to see F1 get in on the act.

The McLaren CEO has proposed a fight between himself and his Mercedes counterpart Wolff but didn’t say if the Austrian had agreed.

“We were talking about racing Christian in Silverstone, because I used to race against Christian,” Brown told Sky Sports.

“And I’ve talked to Toto about it, we’ll see if he’s up for it.

“When we go Vegas, what’s Vegas known for? Little boxing match? I’m ready.”

Already Sky Sports have nicknamed the two fighters, “Slugger Brown” and “Terminator Toto”.

Formula 1 will race in Las Vegas on Saturday 18 November in what will be a night grand prix.
