The livery of the all-new Williams FW44 has been revealed, though the team have chosen to shield the design innovations of the FW44.

Williams are an iconic name of the Formula 1 grid very much on a recovery mission, with the 2021 campaign serving as a strong base to stage a comeback.

Aided by a mid-season performance spike, Williams were able to put 23 points on the board in 2021, securing themselves P8 in the Constructors’ Championship, having scored only eight points across the three previous campaigns.

Of course, Williams along with the other nine teams now head into anew regulatory era in Formula 1, which could prove a boost or a setback to their ambitions.

The first major step then is producing a challenger which extracts the most performance possible from these new regulations, with Williams hoping that their FW44 is capable of doing exactly that.

Like Haas and Red Bull, Williams chose to display their 2022 livery on a show car, rather than reveal the FW44 in all its glory. That being said, the real FW44 is set to hit the track at Silverstone later in the day for its first shakedown run.

So, let’s take a closer look at the livery which they have gone with…

After their bold 2021 livery featuring blue, white and yellow, Williams have doubled-down on the blue for their 2022 livery, returning to a deeper base shade, featuring flashes of lighter blue.

Red also appears around the FW44, with the team explaining that this is a reference to their identity as a British team.

Down the side of the front wing we see the Duracell branding clearly visible, following the agreement of a multi-year sponsorship deal.

Williams will hope then that their FW44 will be powered up the grid nicely in 2022.

We also see the branding of Lavazza on the side of the air box, a team partner for Williams and sponsor for one of their drivers Nicholas Latifi.

Dorilton, the owner of the Williams team, also get their branding in down the side of the FW44, as do Acronis.
