Timo Glock has a few cutting questions for Guenther Steiner and Haas
Timo Glock says Guenther Steiner has a lot to answer for after Nico Hulkenberg’s scathing criticism of Haas following a wretched Italian Grand Prix.
Although Hulkenberg ran inside the points in the early laps at Monza, when the chequered flag was waved the German was down in 17th place having been lapped by race winner Max Verstappen.

Hulkenberg wasn’t at all impressed andcriticised Haas for their lack of upgrades, the only team not to bring anything to Monza.
“We’re just eating the tyre, the balance is poor, we’re sliding a lot more than other cars, can’t keep the pace up using more tyre. So yeah, it was one of the toughest and worst races of the season,” Hulkenberg told media including PlanetF1.com.
“Obviously, that’s also a big miss, not having a front flap ready for the new front wing.
“I think we’re the only team who didn’t have any parts, any upgrades here this weekend, and quite frankly, we’re not point-worthy also for that reason.”
Glock agrees with his compatriot that Haas have a lot of questions to answer about their lack of upgrades.
“As far as Haas is concerned, I have to ask myself the question: Have they not learned anything from the wind tunnel?” he toldSky Deutschland.
“You would have to ask Haas team boss Guenther Steiner where all the major improvements are.
“Nico Hulkenberg is right to criticise this. Nico wants to move forward and sees that there is only stagnation at the moment. It is absolutely his right to make this clear to the team.”

With their point-less run extended to nine grands prix, only broken by Hulkenberg’s three points at the Austrian Grand Prix weekend’s sprint race, Haas are eighth in theConstructors’ Championshipwith 11 points, 10 behind Williams.
“To be honest, Williams, they look like they’re gone,” Hulkenberg lamented. “They and McLaren obviously made huge progress this year.
“And I don’t see how we can turn this around unless we find something really magic.”
Haas will be trying to find that bit of magic later this season with the team reportedly introducing a B-spec car based on this year’s dominant Red Bull at the United States GP.
According to Auto Motor und Sport, the underbody, sidepods, and engine cover will all be redesigned and based on the RB19.
