Major announcement on Red Bull Ring’s F1 future ahead of Austrian Grand Prix

The Red Bull Ring and the Austrian Grand Prix will be staying on the F1 calendar until at least 2030, Formula 1 has announced.
It was only back in March that a three-year extension from 2024 to 2027 was announced, but now a further three years have been added onto the duration of the deal.
The Austrian Grand Prix suffered a 10-year absence from the F1 calendar from 2004 to 2013 but has been an ever-present since the F1 2014 season onwards.
“I am delighted to announce this news with our exceptional partners in Austria,” Stefano Domenicali, F1 president and CEO, said.
“The vision and passion of Dietrich Mateschitz, a man who loved this sport, made this all possible and it is a very special moment and a tribute to him that we can confirm we will be racing at this incredible venue until 2030.
“The race in Austria is a big favourite for the drivers and all our fans and we are looking forward to many years of excitement and action that are ahead of us.”
