Alex Albon's crashed Red Bull in FP2 at Silverstone

Red Bull look set for another busy Friday evening afterAlex Alboncrashed during FP2 for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, causing the session to be red-flagged.

The London-born Thai driver spun off at Stowe and went backwards into the barrier, confirming over the radio he was okay before clambering out of his damaged car.

It means a second consecutive race in which theRed Bullmechanics are likely to be working overtime into Friday evening.

The same scenario occurred in Hungary two weeks ago when Albon and team-mate Max Verstappen both reported problems with the balance of their cars, which needed adjustments before FP3 and qualifying on the Saturday.

Verstappen then crashed on his way to the grid for the race at the Hungaroring, with his engineers performing a near-miraculous repair job on the track to ensure the Dutchman could start – and he repaid them by going on to finish second behind Lewis Hamilton.

This latest incident will do nothing to boost the confidence of Albon, who has been the subject of criticism in some sections of the media for his recent displays having been well and truly outpaced by Verstappen.

埃尔有一个new race engineer for this weekendwith Simon Rennie, who worked with Daniel Ricciardo during his time at Red Bull, the man who will guide him through the rest of the 2020 World Championship.
