Williams poised to hand Kubica an Abu Dhabi run

Robert Kubica could return to action with Williams in Abu Dhabi with Paddy Lowe revealing they are poised to call him up for the post-season test.

Kubica is one of several drivers in line to replace Felipe Massa next season with Williams keen to give him more track time before making a decision.

As such the Polish driver, who last raced in F1 with Renault before suffering severe arm injuries in a pre-season rally crash in 2011, could take part in the two-day post-Abu Dhabi tyre test.

“Almost certainly we’ll give him one of the tyre test days after Abu Dhabi,” Lowe told the German Sky Sports.

“Obviously it’s something that’s getting a lot of attention and notice, but it’s something we’re going to do internally, so we won’t tell anyone what we’re doing at this stage.”
