Sometimes a driver has to wait a while before their first podium finish. For this F1 quiz, you must name the 10 drivers who went the most races before scoring their first career podium.

Not every driver enters Formula 1 and makes an impact akin toLewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher or Sebastian Vettel. Sometimes it takes time for them to grow before they can flourish.

And sometimes, you will get drivers who are good enough to score regular points for their team but always fall short of getting up onto the podium until one day, they finally achieve it.

A podium finish is a fantastic achievement in Formula 1, regardless of what step the driver is standing on.

Of course, not every driver achieves a podium finish in their career. For many, they are resigned to competing further back with weaker cars.

But others can compete further up, knowing a good performance (and maybe a little bit of luck) could see them get their first champagne shower at the end of the day.

The 10 drivers in this F1 quiz had the longest waits before they achieved their first career podium, and your challenge is to name them.

Here’s a little bit of help with some of them – two of the drivers are part of this year’s championship season, while another driver is a one-time World Champion.

We have more challenges on offer as well, including our most recentGuess the Grid: 2016 European Grand Prix.

And you must know the drill at this point. Give the dailySportworda go if you have not done so already.

Sportword is Planet Sport’s own word guessing game where you must identify the F1-themed word within six guesses.

Back to the quiz at hand, you have seven minutes to name them all. Good luck!
