The F1 results are in from what was an Italian Grand Prix that eventually burst into life after something of a false start at Monza on Sunday.

一开始被推迟和51圈里边的ad of 53 after Yuki Tsunoda’s rare DNS, following an apparent engine failure on his way around to the grid on the formation lap.

Carlos Sainz led away from the start, carving across the track to cut off Max Verstappen into the first braking zone to hold onto the lead after taking his first pole position of the season.

Verstappen stuck within DRS range of the Ferrari in front, and barring a look around the outside of the Rettifilo Chicane – the Dutchman calling Sainz’s defence “naughty”, the Spaniard was just about holding the Red Bull at bay in the early stages.

But on lap 15, after a staunch defence, Sainz locked up and offered Verstappen a run at him through Curva Grande, putting him alongside and eventually ahead of the Ferrari driver for the lead.

And Verstappen was very quickly able to stretch his legs and open up a healthy lead over the Ferrari duo, with Sergio Perez closing in from behind after a daring move on George Russell in what was becoming a heated battle over the podium positions.

Perez and Leclerc got extremely close together into the Variante della Roggia as they fought over P3, before the Mexican was able to get ahead a lap later and into the podium places.

Sainz again had to keep defending from Perez to try for all his might to hold onto second place, while Lewis Hamilton made contact with Oscar Piastri as he tried to make his way through the field, damaging the McLaren driver’s front wing in the process and earning himself a five-second penalty.

And when Perez was finally able to get past Sainz, the battle for third erupted between the Ferrari drivers as Sainz and Leclerc fought for the final place on the podium at Monza.

At the front, Verstappen held on to take a record 10th win in a row in Formula 1, with Perez taking second and the Ferrari duo fighting all the way to the line, with Sainz just about coming out ahead of Leclerc to take his place on the podium.
