Cara Delevingne hits back at Martin Brundle after British Grand Prix snub

Model Cara Delevingne said she was “told to say no” and did to speaking with Martin Brundle ahead of the British GP after drawing some criticism for her actions.

Sadly by this stage, former F1 racer turned pundit Martin Brundle has become rather accustomed to being blanked by a small handful of celebrities when attempting to talk to them for his iconic ‘grid walk’ segment.

And, as Brundle made his way through the packed Silverstone grid to attempt to grab a word with Delevingne, she joined the likes of Megan Thee Stallion in giving him the cold shoulder.

Brundle had the last laugh at the time, delivering the sarcastic line of “Ok…I’m sure it would have been extremely interesting”, but after the race Delevingne took to social media to give her take on what happened.

Suggested on Twitter by a former Haas team member that Brundle knew what he was doing in a bid to manufacture controversy, with the PR rep present having told him no, Delevingne replied: “I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides.

“Anyway, I had so much fun today and was so happy to be there no matter what anyone else may think.”

Then in response to a fan who had brought up the potential role of Delevingne’s agent in this, she responded to clarify that it was an “F1 representative” who told her to decline to talk.

The Alfa Romeo staff member accompanying Delevingne on the grid had been brought into the exchange with Brundle, the Brit arguing with them that the rule is everyone now needs to talk.

“It wasn’t an agent, it was an F1 representative,” Delevingne made clear.
