Alpine break new ground with Reddit after ‘first-of-its-kind’ partnership unveiled

Alpine have announced a new ‘first-of-its-kind’ partnership with one of the world’s largest websites, Reddit, that will see the team enshrined in digital avatar format.

Reddit is among the top 10 most visited websites in the world, with its social news aggregation service one of the most popular ways for people to keep up to date with and discuss what is happening in their chosen areas.

As part of their new partnership, Alpine and Reddit are launching a set of Collectible Avatars on the site, which users will be able to download and use on the platform.

Alpine and F1 to be represented on Reddit in new deal

These new avatars will be the first Formula 1 based collection ever released on Reddit, and it’s also the website’s first ever avatar collection using 3D elements.

The new Reddit Collectibles can be mixed and matched with other avatar art and are compatible with any platform that supports the Polygon blockchain.

These avatars are a part of a wider partnership between Reddit and Alpine that will see drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon take part in three AMA sessions with the company at the upcoming Dutch and Italian Grands Prix.

Anyone looking to get themselves an Alpine avatar on Reddit can click on an Avatar in theshop, view details and purchase – just like they do for other creator-based goods.

Alpine will restart the season at the Dutch Grand Prix fifth in the Constructors’ Championship, looking to claw their way back to a resurgent McLaren in the standings.
