阿尔法罗密欧是据说组的一部分Formula 1 in 2024 in partnership with Haas, though through a different capacity to their current Sauber deal.

Alfa Romeo took a unique approach to re-establishing their brand on the Formula 1 grid, joining forces with Sauber in a deal which from 2019 saw the team run under the Alfa Romeo name and colours, with Sauber continuing to operate the team.

That partnership will end though at the conclusion of the F1 2023 campaign as Sauber prepare to become the Audi Formula 1 works team as of 2026.

Alfa Romeo and Haas join forces

Despite their Sauber ties coming to an end, Alfa Romeo had left the door open to continuing in Formula 1, and according to a report by the Italian branch ofMotorsport.com, they have found a way to do so alongside fellow Ferrari engine customer team Haas.

The report indicates that instead of Alfa Romeo taking over the team name and colours like they did with Sauber, this union would see the Ferrari power units which Haas use re-branded to carry the Alfa Romeo name.

RacingNews365.comadd that confirmation of this link-up is expected to arrive at the Italian Grand Prix race weekend from September 1-3, the home race of both Ferrari and Alfa Romeo.

A couple of months back Haas team boss Guenther Steiner had confirmed introductory talks took place between he and Alfa Romeo CEO Jean-Philippe Imparato in Monaco, though at the time there had not been discussions over how a Haas-Alfa Romeo partnership could look.

“Obviously they are looking at what they are doing in the future, and they came to see us, to see how we are doing. It was an introduction, nothing else,” Steiner was quoted by Motorsport.com at the time.

“I had never met the CEO before in my life and we just got introduced. Obviously there was nothing to hide, he just said ‘hello’, and that was it. I don’t know what they are doing in the future.

“I think they’re looking what they want to do, that’s my feeling, but they didn’t tell me.”

Alfa Romeo sit P9 in the currentConstructors’ standings, in front of only AlphaTauri and two points behind Haas and Williams ahead.
