Paul di Resta replaced Robert Kubica for Williams’ second day of testing at the Hungaroring as the F1 evaluated the two drivers for a possible 2018 race-seat.

While Kubica tested with the team on Tuesday, it was reserve driver di Resta’s turn on Wednesday.

Williams have not released any details of the test other than to say that is a “busy day” out of the Scot in the FW36.

The team added to Motorsport.com: “These tests are part of the ongoing due diligence work regarding our 2018 driver line-up, but the team is in no rush to confirm plans ahead of 2018 whilst it completes its internal evaluations.”

Di Resta raced for Williams at this year’s Hungarian GP as he substituted for Felipe Massa, who was ill.

However, according to reports, Kubica is the favourite to replace the Brazilian as Lance Stroll’s 2018 team-mate.
