One for the history buffs among you…this F1 quiz asks you to name every constructor to have started a grand prix between 1980 and 1989.

In total, a whopping 29 different teams started a race in the 1980s, to varying degrees of success in Formula 1 – and some constructors will take more time to dig out from the memory bank than others.

To help you on your way, we have given you a couple of clues – and, as a big help, the list of constructors is in alphabetical order, to possibly help you fill in the gaps.

But before you get started, some important housekeeping:

Every constructor marked * has competed in Formula 1 in at least more than one spell outside of the 1980s – before or after – so the years included are solely from their time in Formula 1 in the 1980s.

Italian constructor FIRST also entered one grand prix weekend in 1989 but did not qualify for the race, so they do not feature on this list as a result.

You have just 10 minutes to get as many as you can but once you are finished, head over to Sportword for another Formula 1 brain teaser. You know the drill by now – one Formula 1-related word to guess every single day in six attempts or less.

But for this quiz, we wish you the best of luck!
