乔治·罗素crashed on the last lap of the Singapore Grand Prix as he challenged Lando Norris for second place on the road with only a few corners to go.

The Mercedes driver was following Norris into Turn 10 on fresher, medium tyres compared to used hards for the McLaren man in front, but appeared to tag the wall and he went skating onwards into the run-off area.

Russell let out an exasperated ‘NO!’ on team radio as he crashed into the barrier, having been the fastest driver on track for much of the final third of the race.

This promoted team-mate Lewis Hamilton onto the podium in Singapore, with Carlos Sainz holding on for a dramatic victory at Marina Bay on Sunday and Norris clinging on to second.
