Two-time F1 World Champion Max Verstappen’s carefully curated car collection sees the Dutch driver whipping around in some very impressive machines…

25-year-old Max Verstappen has already amassed a small but hugely impressive collection of cars since arriving into Formula 1 eight years ago.

Recently, we brought you the stunning range of machinesowned by seven-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, with the British driver seeking out expensive classics to go alongside his modern masterpieces.

Verstappen’s garage shows that the two-time World Champion has a keen eye for state-of-the-art machines at the cutting edge of technology.

Driving for Red Bull, a drinks manufacturer rather than a car manufacturer, Verstappen may not have a Red Bull machine in his garage but the superstar has clearly been influenced in his choices by the engine partners (and the rivals!) of the team he has driven for since 2016.

And, with红牛第一hyperca发展r in the form of the RB17, who is to say that Verstappen won’t end up with a car from his employer when they go on sale in 2025?

Let’s delve into the magnificent metal that Max Verstappen owns in his car collection…

Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Having secured his normal driving licence in late 2015, Verstappen’s maiden victory at the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix gave the then-18-year-old Dutch driver ample reason to go out and buy himself a reward car.

Shortly after his famous win at the first race at the wheel of a Red Bull F1 car, Verstappen bought himself a Porsche 911 GT3 RS in silver.

Amusingly, Verstappen is said to have had to ask his father Jos for permission to purchase the car due to his youth – permission that was presumingly granted as Verstappen bought the 493bhp, 4.0-litre car for a shade under $400,000.

Former Porsche sportscar racer and ambassador Mark Webber let the cat out of the bag as he congratulated Verstappen on the purchase, revealing the Dutch driver had plumped for black wheels with yellow brake calipers.

Renault R.S.01

While Max Verstappen’s first road car is known to have been a Renault Clio in yellow, one of his first car purchases was a Renault R.S.01.

Driving for Toro Rosso in 2015, the team’s partnership with Renault meant that many of Verstappen’s off-track driving was at the wheel of a Renault-supplied machine.

But it was the newly-launched R.S.01, homologated for GT3 racing as a replacement for the Megane Trophy, that seemed to catch the attention of the Dutch racer the most, as Verstappen splashed out for one of his own after taking his father Jos for a spin around Spa-Francorchamps at the wheel.

“The Renault R.S. 01 has a pleasant ride and feels like a Renault 2.0 formula car”, Max told the official Verstappen website in June 2015.

“Especially in the medium fast corners, it handles very well. A very nice car to take for a spin.”

R.S.01碳纤维底盘来自意大利manufacturer Dallara, and is powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 from the Nissan GT-R, developing 550bhp – purchasing a new one through the Renault dealer network would have cost Verstappen $400,000 during 2015.

Aston Martin Valkyrie

Thanks to Red Bull’s association with Aston Martin between 2018 and 2020, Verstappen got his hands on a number of impressive machines from the British manufacturer.

In 2019, Verstappen is known to have had an Aston Martin DB11, the street-legal version of the James Bond DB10.

Verstappen didn’t have it long though, before trading in for an Aston Martin Vantage, followed shortly after by a 725bhp DBS Superleggera.

But, according to reports, Verstappen eventually returned the car to Aston Martin with just over 1000 miles on the clock.

It’s the Aston Martin Valkyrie that really seems to have tickled Verstappen’s fancy, with the hypercar developed by Red Bull’s chief technical officer Adrian Newey in collaboration with Aston Martin’s Marek Reichman.

The 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12-powered machine, which develops over 1000bhp through its hybrid ancillaries, saw Verstappen taking early prototypes to the track during its development phase, with the Dutch driver impressed to the point of ordering one for himself.

Ferrari Monza SP2

While Ferrari may be one of Max Verstappen’s main on-track rivals, the Dutch driver has proved just as powerless to resist the charms of its roadcars (just like Lewis Hamilton!).

Verstappen is known to have splashed out for a Ferrari Monza SP2, a 6.2-litre naturally aspirated V12 that develops 800bhp and offers a 0-100km/h time of 2.9 seconds.

The two-seater doesn’t have a roof or a windscreen, with only 499 models of the extremely limited production car ever created – Verstappen would have had to spend around £1.4 million for the machine.

Aside from the Monza SP2, Verstappen also owned/owns a Ferrari 488 Pista. Under the bonnet of the 488 is a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8, producing 711bhp and reaching 100km/h in 2.8 seconds from a standing start.

But are these the only Ferraris in his collection?

The Ferrari SF90 Max Verstappen has been seen evaluating in Monte Carlo, January 2023.

In January 2023, the two-time F1 World Champion was spotted by keen-eyed fans visiting the Ferrari dealership in Monte Carlo, with the Dutch driver climbing behind the wheel of a Ferrari SF90 Rosso Fuoco Stradale pack Assetto Fiorano (isn’t that a mouthful!).

The car is Ferrari’s first-ever plug-in hybrid machine, mating three electric motors to the 780bhp engine to create a total power output of around 1000bhp.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Verstappen has reached into his pockets to purchase the car just yet but, based on his interest in unique and modern cars at the peak of engineering, the SF90 may end up in his garage very soon…

Acura NSX Type S

Honda gifted Verstappen an NSX Type Sat the end of 2022 for his continued success in Formula 1, at the brand’s annual ‘Thanks Day’ after the season finished.

Only around 350 have reportedly been made – only 50 of which sold outside the United States – and its 3.5-litre V6 combines with three electric motors to pump out a far-from-sluggish 593bhp.

With four-wheel drive and a nine-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, Verstappen certainly won’t have to do too much thinking when he plants his foot to the floor in Honda’s last iteration of the NSX.

Appearing at Honda’s 2022 ‘Thanks Day’, the reigning World Champion was presented with a brand new NSX Type S in grey, by Honda chairman Seiji Kuraishi and Honda Racing president Koji Watanabe.

What about Max Verstappen’s private jet?

While F1 rival Lewis Hamilton took the decision to sell his own private jet in 2019, citing his desire to live a more green lifestyle, Max Verstappen opted to buy himself a private jet in late 2020.

Verstappen splashed out a reported $12-16 million to purchase the ex-Sir Richard Branson-owned Dassault Falcon 900EX, and uses the jet to fly around between Grands Prix.

The Falcon uses three Honeywell turbofan engines that allow for a cruising speed of 528mph and a 5,000-mile range.

Not much is known about the interior fit-out of Verstappen’s jet, but the jet’s configuration allows for reclining seats to create a full-size bed, as well as carrying between eight and 12 passengers.

Recently, Red Bull’s Helmut Marko even revealed that the Dutch driverhas chosen to fit a racing simulator in his jet, allowing for more racing while flying in between races!
